Only the city of Kyoto (Japan) managed to beat Lyon with more than 715,000 readers of 

Condé Nast Traveler 

who voted to elect the best big cities in the world.

The famous American travel magazine explained Monday, unveiling the results of this poll, that many voters appreciated above all "the atmosphere more intimate than Paris" and "the breathtaking architecture" of the capital of the Gauls.

It is ahead of Singapore, Sydney, Vienna, Tokyo, Porto, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Lisbon in the top 10 of this prestigious ranking, which therefore does not include any other French city.
