Jordan.. The fact that songs are broadcast over the mosque's loudspeakers "video"

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places in Jordan, Abdullah Al-Aqeel, said that the ministry is investigating a video clip that showed the prayer hall of the King Hussein Business Complex broadcasting songs through loudspeakers.

Al-Aqeel said that “the chapel is not under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, because it is a chapel inside a closed facility and not a mosque. Rather, coordination takes place with the facilities regarding the chapels that are inside,” according to “Ammon.”

He stressed that “what appeared in the video clip is a chapel and not a mosque, even if it took the shape of a mosque and had a minaret, and therefore it is not directly supervised by the endowments,” noting that “the person in charge of the prayer hall may have turned on the audio device to broadcast the unified call to prayer, as is the case. It was used in all mosques, and because of a defect that he did not close, the songs were broadcast through loudspeakers without intending to.”
