Thanks to its 1.5 TSI engine developing 131 hp, the Audi A3 Sportback 30 G-Tron reaches 211 km / h and is able to go from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.7 seconds.
But the most important thing here is that the manufacturer has modified the engine in terms of the cylinder head, injection, turbo and catalyst to allow it to run on both gasoline and CNG (compressed natural gas for vehicles) .

The model is homologated according to WLTP standards at 3.5-3.6 l / 100 km, and 96-99 gCO2 / km.
Values close to those of a… hybrid.
The Audi A3 G-Tron is thus capable of traveling 445 km on gas (WLTP standards), and also has an emergency fuel tank with a capacity of 9 liters.
Marketed in October, the A3 Sportback 30 g-tron will be available from € 30,706.
More economical to buy than an electrified car, more economical to use (between 0.9 and 1.2 € / l depending on the region) and cleaner than a conventional engine… One wonders why more manufacturers are not interested in CNG.
