Direction Cape Town in South Africa to board the schooner Tara.

Its scientific crew is preparing to travel up the West African coast to Senegal for 5 months to study the marine microbiome.

Objective: to understand how this invisible world works, an essential cog in the great climate machine, and to measure the impact of plastic pollution on marine micro-organisms.
