China News Service, Beijing, August 17 (Pang Wuji, Wang Xiwei) After the beginning of autumn, chrysanthemum fragrant crab fat is the best time to eat seafood.

Big data from Tianyancha shows that in recent years, with the simultaneous development of market consumption capacity and aquaculture production, the scale of my country's seafood industry has been increasing year by year.

There are currently more than 210,000 seafood-related companies in China.

Among them, "crab" enterprises exceeded 28,000, accounting for 13.3% of the overall seafood-related enterprises.

Crabs are delicious and high-tech?

From the perspective of industry distribution, seafood-related companies are mainly distributed in the wholesale and retail industry, accommodation and catering industry, the two accounted for more than 96%, of which the wholesale and retail industry accounted for 57.60%, and the accommodation and catering industry accounted for 38.65%.

This shows that the retail channel is still the most important channel for seafood sales.

Compared to eating in a restaurant, people are still used to buying seafood outside and cooking and eating at home.

Compared with the overall seafood enterprises, the degree of industrialization of "crab" enterprises is lower.

The industries with the largest number of "crab" companies are agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery, accounting for 64.54%, followed by wholesale and retail, accounting for 29.26%.

It is worth noting that scientific research and technical services are the industry with the third largest distribution of "crab" companies, accounting for 2.39%.

"Crab" technology companies are mostly agricultural technology, fishery technology, and aquatic technology companies, and their business scope also covers crab breeding, sales, and agricultural or aquaculture technology development.

Many companies also have a considerable amount of "crab" related patent information.

Taking "hairy crabs" as an example, the Tianyan Check report shows that "a method for breeding freshwater hairy crabs", "methods and kits for identifying hairy crabs in Yangcheng Lake", "flexible adaptive hairy crab grabbing fixtures and automatic grabbing devices and methods of use" These are all patent information related to hairy crabs.

From how to breed, identify, grab, pack, and transport, it can be said that every step of the "hairy crab" to the consumer table carries a certain kind of intellectual property.

Which cow for hairy crabs?

From the perspective of geographical distribution, Jiangsu is the province with the most "crab" companies, and the number of seafood-related companies ranks among the top five in the country.

Because of the dense water network and the coexistence of rivers, lakes, rivers, reservoirs, and ponds, the production of hairy crabs in Jiangsu has always accounted for half of the country.

There are many hairy crab brands in the Chinese market, but only the "Yangcheng Lake hairy crab" from Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province is the most famous.

According to statistics, the total sales of hairy crabs in the national river crab market in 2017 was 77.8 billion yuan, of which Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs accounted for about 30 billion yuan, accounting for 40%.

Although hairy crabs are small, they have long become a "big lever" for the development of Jiangsu's local economy.

Festival Economic Belt Fire Crab Industry

With the development of China's urbanization process and the improvement of residents' consumption and living standards, seafood has increasingly become a "frequent customer" on people's tables, and the proportion of aquatic protein in the structure of residents' protein intake has also increased.

According to statistics from Tianyan Check, in the past ten years, the number of seafood-related companies (all companies) in my country has been increasing at an annual rate of about 15% and has continued to rise steadily.

The changes in "crab" enterprises are basically consistent with the overall seafood market, but the fluctuation range is greater.

Affected by the epidemic last year, the seafood market declined slightly, and crab enterprises fluctuated greatly. The year-on-year growth rate has dropped from double digits to single digits.

Since the beginning of this year, the seafood market has gradually recovered.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, "paper" crabs such as crab cards and crab coupons will appear soon, which may boost the economic boom of festivals with "crab" consumption as the mainstay.
