On November 28, the International Thangka Art Exhibition co-sponsored by the Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association and the Institute of Religious Studies of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences opened in Shanghai.

This exhibition is mainly composed of the thangka art works of Gendeng Daji and his father Xia Wu Cailang, the representative heir of the thangka of the national intangible cultural heritage project.

It is worth mentioning that, in addition to the appearance of precious exhibits such as "Eight Horses of Wealth", some exhibits of the "Eighteen Arhats" series were exhibited in Shanghai for the first time.

It is reported that this exhibition also opened an online cloud exhibition hall, bringing together fine thangka paintings from various painting schools at home and abroad.

The exhibition will last until December 6.
