“According to the regional forestry dispatch services, over the past day on June 3, 26 forest fires on an area of 3,034 hectares have been eliminated in Russia,” RIA Novosti reports.
Five more natural fires continue to be extinguished; the largest area of them is noted in the Amur Region (59 ha).
In late May, a state of emergency in forests was introduced throughout the Trans-Baikal Territory, in one district of the Republic of Tyva, one region of the Republic of Khakassia and one district of the Irkutsk Region.
