Unsurprisingly, the extension of the vaccine booster (third dose) against Covid-19 to the entire adult population leads to an overload of appointments on the Doctolib platform.
Most of the slots offered are now full in Loire-Atlantique, where the incidence rate climbed this Friday to 219 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (the national average is 213).
Fortunately, the vaccination centers, whose number had fallen sharply in recent weeks, are starting to adapt.
Nine vaccination centers are currently open to individuals upon prior registration: Nantes, Rezé, Saint-Nazaire, Ancenis, Châteaubriant, Pornic, Machecoul, Nort-sur-Erdre and Vallet.
The most frequented center, that of Nantes-Erdre, which replaced the Beaujoire vaccinodrome in early October, will be accessible 7 days a week from this Sunday, the city said.
At the end of next week, its hours will be extended (from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.) in order to be able to go from 400 vaccination slots per day to 600.
Saint-Herblain reopens
From Monday, November 29, a tenth center will open, that of Saint-Herblain, in the Salle du Vigneau.
It had closed its doors on October 1 due to a drop in requests.
In La Baule, the town hall also announces the reopening of the Jean-Gaillardon vaccination center within a week.
Other sites should reopen or, at a minimum, expand their hours, the regional health agency (ARS) said Thursday.
Outside these centers, many general practitioners, but also nurses, pharmacies and some laboratories also offer vaccinations against Covid-19.
