In Israel, protests against Netanyahu do not abate

Another evening of demonstrations this Saturday against Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu. A movement that continues to gain momentum.

Police are asking protesters to reduce noise levels and disperse peacefully. In Jerusalem, tens of thousands of people gathered in front of the Prime Minister's residence.

Elsewhere in the country, thousands of others at crossroads and on bridges demanded the departure of Benjamin Netanyahu. This is the tenth consecutive week that these events are taking place.

For Sigalit Kessler, lawyer and early protester, it is a real dialogue of the deaf that is engaged between Netanyahu and the Israelis who participate in these rallies.

“  He's locked into a concept of a messianic apocalypse, ” she said. He really thinks he's an emissary, a messiah. But we live from day to day. What interests us is our bank account, the food in the refrigerator and the education of the children. And not the poison that comes out of his residence here on Balfour Street.  "

In the city of Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv, a motorist threatened protesters with a pistol. But overall this week, there were no reports of overflows after the police violence last Saturday.
