Ibaraki Prefecture and Mito City announced on the 19th that 59 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 9184 in the prefecture.
In addition, Ibaraki Prefecture announced that one person who had been hospitalized at a medical institution in the prefecture had died, bringing the total number of people who died in the prefecture to 139.
Ibaraki Prefecture also announced that 12 of the confirmed infections had been infected with the mutated coronavirus, bringing the total to 502.
