His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, affirmed Dubai's keenness to support global efforts to design an integrated vision to employ future technology.

This came during His Highness' attendance of the activities of the first day of the "Dubai Metaverse Forum", organized by the Dubai Future Foundation, with the participation of more than 500 global experts, decision and policy makers, and more than 40 local and international institutions specialized in the metaverse sector.

His Highness said: "Metaverse will have an active role in designing the future of digital technology that the world will live in the coming years... Dubai will remain at the forefront of the world's cities in testing and developing future technologies, and employing them in designing the digital economy and the future economy."

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed that “Dubai always welcomes all innovators and experts to explore and design the future of metaverse, study its potential and promising applications, and ways to expand horizons of dialogue to enhance cooperation, partnerships and concerted efforts, to create solutions that move the world towards building a better future for all by taking advantage of Technology, innovation, research and development.

His Highness said: "We aim by organizing the Dubai Metaverse Forum, to provide a comprehensive platform for global expertise and competencies to foresee the future of the Metaverse sectors, and to enhance communication and partnership between the pioneers of this sector, at the level of governments, institutions, businesses and companies."

His Highness added: "The digital economy is the economy of the future on which the pillars of the development process are based. We want Dubai to be a major center for the metaverse community. We are able to achieve far beyond that."

His Highness pointed out that "the advanced technological infrastructure in Dubai makes it an essential and effective partner in the world of metaviruses and artificial intelligence technologies... and it encourages investors to be part of this growing market, in light of the supportive strategic plans that are being implemented in Dubai, with all that It has promising opportunities.”

During his attendance at the Dubai Metaverse Forum, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met a number of heads, directors and representatives of the participating international technology companies.

His Highness witnessed a key session that hosted Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, during which he highlighted the most prominent pillars of the "Dubai Metaverse Strategy", stressing that "what Dubai and the UAE have achieved at various levels, It proves that it is in the perfect position to be a global leader in the future of metaverse, and that investment in the latest technological developments continues to keep pace with the future trends that the world is witnessing.”

In his speech, Omar Sultan Al Olama said: “Dubai has succeeded in establishing its position as a global hub for travel, trade and investment, by embracing new industries and innovations, and by continuing to diversify its economy.

We will always work to achieve more.” He added: “In the coming years, we will work to transform challenges into opportunities, and build a digital economy on firm foundations based on infrastructure, competencies and forward-looking leadership, so that Dubai becomes the beating heart of the metaverse economy and the center of its growing community.”

He also stressed the necessity of utilizing the outputs of the Dubai Metaverse Forum to continue the process of imagining, designing and creating the future, exploring the qualitative capabilities and capabilities of new technologies, and exploring opportunities for radical transformations taking place in the world.

The scholars pointed out that there are a huge amount of opportunities for metaverse applications in the tourism sector, through virtual events in museums, celebrations and the most important tourist sites, and the creation of digital twins for the most attractive destinations in Dubai, which enhances its tourism presence globally.

"Economy" opens its new headquarters in "Metaverse"

The Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, announced yesterday the launch of a headquarters for the Ministry of Economy in the UAE in the Metaverse sector, which provides unlimited opportunities in the virtual reality and the digital world.

This came during Bin Touq's participation in a main session entitled "Metavirus and the Economy: Promising Opportunities for Metaverse Applications", within the activities of the "Dubai Metaverse Forum" organized by the Dubai Future Foundation.

Bin Touq stressed that the UAE has all the elements of an advanced physical and digital infrastructure, which enable it to activate the opportunities of the digital economy and become a global center for future technologies.

He said, "The UAE has made great strides in supporting and empowering the sectors of the future economy, which are based on knowledge, innovation and artificial intelligence, as one of the main pillars supporting the new economic model of the country during the next fifty years, as the world of metavirs represents one of the most prominent applications of future technology."

Bin Touq explained that the global market for the metavirus industry is expected to reach $1.6 trillion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 43.3%, stressing that the UAE has a clear vision in this direction, and possesses all the competitive ingredients, including infrastructure. developed, and creative human cadres in various fields of technology, in order to become one of the 10 largest economies contributing to the metaverse industry, and to be a leading global center for investment in this future activity.
