The "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Museum Map" was released at the event site. The book is rich in pictures and texts, focusing on the special exhibitions and cultural relics of each museum, and with practical tourist information.
"Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Museum Map" is compiled by the Guangzhou Society of Cultural Relics Museums and the Historical Anthropology Research Center of Sun Yat-sen University. It is the first museum visiting guide book in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. There are 108 museums in 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area, including Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing.
In the book, the Hong Kong Museum of History, Hong Kong Maritime Museum, Macau Museum, Macau Science Museum, Guangdong Provincial Museum, Guangzhou Museum, Nanyue King Museum, Yuexiu District Museum and other museums with distinctive features and different types are presented in different categories, which can be called "" A Guide to Sweeping the Library".
In addition, the list of 6 new museums in Guangzhou that opened on that day or in the near future was released at the event site, namely Tuanyi University Memorial Hall, Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Museum, Guangzhou Maritime Museum, Guangzhou Railway Museum, Garden Hotel Museum, Huadu Zhao Family Tianshuitang Museum .
Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism stated that these 6 museums cover state-owned and non-state-owned museums, especially industry museums. The accommodation industry, railway, maritime affairs, and overseas Chinese are all closely related to Guangzhou and have a wide range of influences. It is also closely related to the life of the public.
Their establishment will optimize the type and space layout of Guangzhou museums, and also help to improve the investment structure of museum construction.
At present, there are 72 registered museums in Guangzhou, including 5 national first-level museums, 11 second-level museums, and 7 third-level museums.
The city is planning to build a new Guangzhou Museum, a new Guangdong Revolutionary History Museum, high-quality Guangzhou Art Museum, Lingnan Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other venues.
It is estimated that by 2025, the number of museums in Guangzhou will reach more than 120, and the "city of museums" will be initially built.
