Fuel prices continue to rise in August

Websites for fuel distribution companies announced today that the prices of gasoline and its derivatives “Super 98”, “Khossy 95” and “I Plus 91” recorded new increases in their indicators, starting from the first of next August, with a value of 12 fils per liter. Meanwhile, the price of a liter of diesel recorded an increase of three fils compared to the prices of this month, according to the prices approved by the committee to follow up on fuel prices of all kinds, including value-added tax of 5%.


Fuel prices recorded increases during the month of July, with values ​​ranging between 8 and 9 fils per liter of gasoline, and an increase of 12 fils per liter of diesel compared to last June's prices.


The price of a liter of “Super 98” gasoline, starting from the beginning of next August, increased from 2.47 dirhams previously, to 2.58 dirhams, an increase of 11 fils, while the price of a liter of “Special 95” gasoline recorded an increase from 2.35 dirhams, to 2.47 dirhams. An increase of 12 fils, while the price of a liter of gasoline "iPlus 91" increased from 2.28 dirhams to 2.39 dirhams, an increase of 11 fils.


The price of a liter of diesel increased from 2.42 dirhams per liter previously, to 2.45 dirhams, an increase of three fils.


It is noteworthy that the fuel price standards adopted by the Ministry of Energy and Industry are determined on a monthly basis, according to the average world oil prices, up or down, after adding the operating costs of the distribution companies.
