Setagaya Ward, Tokyo has begun an initiative to distribute antigen test kits free of charge to desired residents and those who commute to work or school.

In Setagaya Ward, we have been making efforts to distribute antigen test kits free of charge to households with children attending nursery schools and kindergartens in the ward, but we hope from the 21st due to the rapid spread of infection. The target has been expanded to include residents of the ward and those who commute to work or school.

Distribution began on the 21st at the venues of "Futakotamagawa Park" and "Karasuyama Community Center Square", of which a large number of people lined up in the morning at Futakotamagawa Park.

The 71-year-old woman who received the kit said, "I'm very grateful that I couldn't find it at the drugstore the other day. I may take care of my grandchildren, so I'd like to do a test before that to make sure they are not infected. I was talking.

From the 24th of this month, distribution will start at "Seijo Gakuenmae Station South Exit Square", and the period will be until the 22nd of next month, and a total of 40,000 kits will be prepared.

Also, from next month, it will be distributed free of charge at about 200 pharmacies in the ward, and 200,000 kits will be prepared.

Setagaya Ward says, "We want to prevent the spread of infection by allowing people who want to be tested."
