　　China News Service, Hong Kong, April 28 (Reporter Han Xingtong) The Health Protection Center of the Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 28th that there were 7 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Hong Kong, and there were no local cases of unknown origin for 4 consecutive days.

According to Chen Zhaoshi, Director of the Food and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Hong Kong has so far been "closed" for 41 mandatory inspections, involving about 37,000 people.

　　Of the 7 newly confirmed cases, 6 were imported cases and 1 was a locally-related case. This was the fourth consecutive day that there were no local cases of unknown origin.

There have been 11,756 cases in Hong Kong so far, including 11,755 confirmed cases and 1 suspected case.

　　The Centre for Health Protection announced that there were a total of 141 new cases in the past 14 days, including 35 local cases, of which 16 were of unknown origin.

　　On the same day, Chen Zhaoshi announced in response to questions from members of the Legislative Council that in order to achieve the goal of "clearing" the community, the SAR government has carried out a number of intensive large-scale compulsory testing operations.

During the period from January 23 to April 23, the SAR government successfully completed 41 "closed areas" compulsory testing operations in multiple districts. About 37,000 people were tested and 22 confirmed cases were found.

In the relevant enforcement actions, the SAR government issued a total of about 40 fixed penalty notices of HK$5,000 to citizens who did not comply with the mandatory test announcements.

　　In addition, the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Compulsory Testing for Certain Persons) Regulations" (Chapter 599J) came into effect on November 15 last year. As of April 23 this year, the SAR government has carried out more than 2.87 million "required inspections". There were 4,318 preliminary positive samples in the “must check” virus test, with a positive rate of 0.15%.
