Journalist Mohamed Al-Arousi said in statements to the "Beyond the News" program on (27/26/2020) that Addis Ababa had announced from the start that it would fill the dam during next July, without specifying a specific day.

Al-Arousi expressed his conviction that Ethiopia had won the battle of the Renaissance Dam, which was invented by Egypt, because it had not waived any of its positions, which are based on preserving the rights of all countries concerned with the waters of the Nile River, and said that what was agreed upon between Ethiopia and Egypt during the meetings held by the African Union , Are topics originally Ethiopia was not opposed to and was not a point of contention for her.

Rather, the bride went to confirm that Addis Ababa won the political and diplomatic victory in this battle, because it forced Egypt to return to the African house to solve this issue, after it had knocked several international doors, and "despised" the African House represented by the African Union, but had to return to it, after it referred The UN Security Council is the Egyptian complaint for its rightful place, the African Union.

Egypt won

However, Egyptian journalist Mounir Adib rejected Al-Arousi's view, and stressed that Egypt was the one that won the political and diplomatic victory in this battle, because it succeeded in putting an end to the Ethiopian stalling in negotiations and evading ending the crisis of the Renaissance Dam between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, pointing to Ethiopia's evasion in signing the agreement that was Reach it with American sponsorship.

Adeeb considered that Cairo succeeded in persuading the African Union to force Ethiopia to return to negotiations, and reach an agreement on filling and operating the Renaissance Dam within two weeks, and he rejected Cairo's accusation of contempt for the African Union and the resort to other international powers, and said that what Cairo wants is to preserve the rights of the Egyptians from the Nile water and that In no way will anyone be permitted to infringe these rights.

Not victorious

For his part, Osman Mirghani, editor-in-chief of the Sudanese newspaper, An-Nahar, affirmed that he did not unite Muntaser in the battle over the filling and operation of the Renaissance Dam so far, and described what happened as a mere face-saving for both Egypt and Ethiopia.

Al-Merghani explained that Addis Ababa had already pledged from the start that it would fill the dam during July without announcing a specific date for this filling, and as such, it had preserved its water in front of its people, and had left the AU negotiations without changing its position.

As for Cairo - Al-Merghani says - she also managed to keep her face in front of the Egyptian people, when she was able to obtain a commitment to discuss the process of filling and operating the dam in the next two weeks.

But the African Union is the party that most benefited, because the Security Council referred it to this issue for consideration after the complaint it had reached from Cairo, because it does not have a solution to it, so it became like someone who gave it a victory in a new battle, because the parties to the conflict know that they must agree In the end, despite the procrastination shown by each of them during the last period, hoping to achieve more gains.

Mirghani pointed out that the Security Council, which will return to look at the developments of the issue after two days, has practically no radical solutions to it because it is not a military conflict between two countries.
