Will Daniel Radcliffe return one day to the "Wizarding World", the world of Harry Potter, created by JK Rowling?

Not sure… While he is in the middle of promoting his new film,

The Lost City

, the actor was asked about the possible cinema adaptations of

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

, the sequel to the cult saga, so far reserved at the theatre.

And unfortunately for the fans, it doesn't leave much hope.

“That's not the answer everyone is going to want.

I think I've been so able to go back [to the HBO special] and enjoy it because it's not part of my daily life anymore.

I'm getting to a point where I feel like I made it out of "Potter" safely, and I'm really happy where I am now.

Going back would be such a change in my life…” he explained to The

New York Times

.

Not immediately

However, Daniel Radcliffe refuses to say no definitively to the project… or to any other film based on the world of the young wizard.

“I would never say never, but the

Star Wars

guys  had 30 or 40 years before they came back.

For me, it's only been 10 years.

It's not something that really interests me right now," he added, referring to Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, or Carrie Fisher, who reprized their cult roles in

Star 's final trilogy.

Wars

.

Another 20 years before seeing Harry Potter again in the guise of his original actor?

The other stars of the saga, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, for their part never specified whether they were up for taking over the roles that made them, too, famous.

The Harry Potter franchise is the fourth highest-grossing movie franchise in history, grossing $7.7 billion at the box office.
