The person arrested was Kazuo Miyasaka, a 70-year-old unemployed person in Zama City.



According to police investigation, Miyasaka was quiet and registered as a member of a service that provides copies of papers, hiding the purpose of giving it to the staff of the Russian Trade Representative in Japan, and related to research and development of Japanese military technology and semiconductors. There is a suspicion of computer fraud for illegally obtaining 8 items such as documents.



He admitted to the investigation and stated, "I thought the staff who handed over the materials I got was a Russian spy. I had handed over military and science and technology related literature to several Russians for about 30 years." It means that you are doing it.



According to the investigation, a male employee in his 40s of the Russian Trade Representative in Japan who received the material is believed to be a Russian intelligence officer, and police requested the Russian side to appear through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 9th.
