The Clean Hands Public Officials Collective has filed

a complaint against the State Society of Industrial Participations

(SEPI) in the Court of Accounts, asking it to audit the aid granted by the public entity during the last three years considering that the Plus case Ultra "may be the tip of the iceberg."

Clean Hands demands that the Court of Auditors

prepare an accounting report of the public aid granted by the SEPI in those three years

, in order to determine what use it has made of the 10,000 million euros that it has to support Spanish companies considered strategic, according to the complaint, to which Europa Press has had access.

He believes that "there is a more than reasonable presumption that this fund has been used fraudulently, the first case detected being the granting of 53 million euros to Aeronáutica Plus Ultra, which is being the subject of preliminary proceedings by the Investigating Court Number 15 of Madrid ".

"It is to mean that this aid with public funds may be the tip of the iceberg of the rest of the public aid granted allegedly with fraud," says Clean Hands.

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION

The Collective of Public Officials has

already filed a complaint

against the former president of SEPI and its current vice president, Bartolomé Lora, for alleged crimes of embezzlement of public funds and influence peddling, and against the rest of the members of the Board of Directors of the SEPI, as necessary cooperators, for the rescue of Plus Ultra.

Manos Limpias questions whether this airline can be considered as strategic, "when it operated with 0.03% of flights in Spain", "it carried 0.08% of international passengers and contributed less than 1% of air connections" , and has a "single plane" that would only have made one flight to Venezuela.

It also points to the economic problems of the airline.

According to the complaint, it has registered red numbers since it was founded in 2011 and accumulates losses of 10 million euros.

"To this we must add that the airline's management and shareholding, with a percentage of 47%, is in the hands of Venezuelans with a wide network of companies in Panama (tax haven)" and that "the scandal is already the subject of a research in European stays ", Rivets Manos Limpias.

In response to this complaint, the head of the Court of Instruction Number 15 of Madrid, Esperanza Collazos,

has initiated preliminary proceedings against Lora and the members of the Board of Directors of the SEPI

and has claimed from the state company the file processed for the granting of those 53 million to Plus Ultra.
