"Cloud" interaction, "home economy" is popular; live broadcasts bring goods to help products sell well...In recent years, the life service industry has accelerated the pace of digitalization, bringing new experiences to daily life, and injecting new momentum into economic development. A few days ago, the "Report on the Digital Development of China's Life Service Industry (2020)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") issued by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and other institutions shows that in 2019, China's service industry digital economy accounted for 38% of the industry's added value. Among the three industries, the level of digitization is the highest and the speed of transformation is the fastest.

What is the significance of accelerating digital transformation in the service industry? "From the development path of some countries, when the proportion of the service industry reaches half of GDP, the economy begins to show a'bell-mouth' growth, that is, the economic growth rate will decline as the proportion of the service industry rises." Tsinghua University Service Economy and Public Policy Xiaojuan Changjiang, a research institute, said that the digitization of the service industry is expected to help us avoid this vicious circle. “On the one hand, using big data to accurately match individual needs will greatly improve the efficiency of resource allocation; on the other hand, it can also speed up product integration. The speed of service innovation promotes consumers to continuously try new products and services, accelerates consumption upgrade iteration, and continues to release demand momentum."

For my country, the development of digital service industry has unique advantages. "China has a large-scale market, which enables digital platform companies to have both scale effects and competitive effects, thereby accelerating the iterative speed of enterprise service innovation." Jiang Xiaojuan took the development of remote office during the epidemic prevention and control period as an example to analyze, since the Tencent conference went live , 20 versions have been updated in 100 days, and product functions and services have been rapidly upgraded. At the same time, Alibaba's DingTalk has continuously expanded its capacity to more than 100,000 cloud servers in Alibaba Cloud. In the view of Jia Jingyu, Director of the Strategy Department of the Industry Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, although China’s service sector’s digital economy accounted for 38% last year, in some developed countries, this proportion has exceeded 50%. There is more room for development."

The "Report" pointed out that the current digital development of the life service industry is still facing problems such as insufficient degree, unbalanced level, and weak element support ability. In the future, how should these problems be solved to make the digitalization of the service industry stable and far-reaching? According to Wang Yiming, former deputy director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, strengthening new infrastructure can provide strong infrastructure support for the service industry. “On the one hand, we must encourage leading companies to participate in digital infrastructure construction through the PPP (government and social capital cooperation) model. On the other hand, government departments should also create more application scenarios and public services for the digitalization of the life service industry." Lai Youwei, Vice President of Meituan Dianping and Dean of the Meituan Research Institute, suggested that systematic guidance on digitalization of the service industry should be issued as soon as possible. Provide policy support for the digital transformation and upgrading of the service industry through standard construction and standardized personnel training. Other experts believe that relevant departments should improve their regulatory capabilities and promote the improvement of the system of market access, fair competition, and resolution of market barriers in the digitalization of the service industry.
