• One morning at Cope from Carlos Herrera's house: "I don't abandon my vocation for leadership"

A lot of movement in the Spanish radio waves but the same trend in its flagships.

It is the summary of this second wave of the General Media Study (EGM) that confirms that the battle of programs to lead Spanish informative radio is very much alive.

Despite the blow from

Àngels Barceló,

Hoy

por Hoy

continues to lead the ranking.

Carlos Herrera

reduces distance

, but the

bypass

to the bastion of Prisa will have to wait.

And in the midst of the widespread falls of the two big ones,

Carlos Alsina

sneaks in, growing at a record pace.

The two main programs,

Hoy por hoy

on Cadena Ser and

Herrera on Cope

lost listeners in this wave.

Àngels Barceló's morning show once again sees the barrier of 3,000,000 listeners (2,866,000) below and from afar, in a general

drop in the entire Prisa network

.

Today

remains the

most listened to program in the morning, but 140,000 listeners are left behind, falling 4.7% compared to the first wave.

Carlos Herrera

and his program continue to lead the first slot in the morning, which runs from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

But this is bittersweet news.

After his record in the first wave, he did not come out unscathed from the general falls: 110,000 listeners less than in the first wave of EGM this year and dropped to 2,742,000 faithful.

The long-awaited

sorpasso

a la Ser will have to wait at least until after the holidays.

In the midst of the fall of the two greats, who is on the rise is

Carlos Alsina and Onda Cero

.

The morning space of Onda Cero grew by 9.1% compared to April, up to one and a half million viewers.

This is its best historical record, adding 206,000 listeners in the last year, which helps make Atresmedia Radio the only group that improves its data compared to the previous wave.
