According to RIA Novosti with reference to the Echo edition, Belgium fears that the adoption of the eighth package of sanctions will have a detrimental effect on two NLMK plants in Clabec and La Louviere in the Walloon region.
At the same time, Belgium refrained from blocking new sanctions against Russia so as not to break "European solidarity," the Belgian prime minister noted.
Earlier, the European Union approved the eighth package of sanctions against Russia, including a ceiling on oil prices.
