Beijing-Chengdu ascends the hottest route on May Day
Chengdu ranks among the top three cities with the highest traffic volume
Before the May Day holiday, the heat wave of domestic travel has already rushed.
The travel forecast for the May 1st Holiday in 2021 released by Qunar shows that Sichuan-Chongqing region, as a traditional tourist destination, has also set many records for air tickets and hotel bookings.
Among them, Beijing-Chengdu topped the May 1st hottest route, and Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu became the top three cities with the highest number of trips.
Lan Xiang, dean of the Qunar Big Data Research Institute, said that as early as the Spring Festival period, Wuyi hotel reservations had seen a significant increase, because a large amount of suppressed travel demand was not released.
Although many tourists visited relatives and traveled during the Qingming holiday that just ended, due to the length of the holiday, most tourists still choose to travel during the May 1st holiday.
According to Qunar data, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Xi'an, and Hangzhou became the eight cities with the highest number of trips during the May Day holiday this year.
Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Guangzhou have become the most popular destinations.
For Chengdu, the four cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen will be the main source of air passengers during the May 1st period.
According to Qunar's statistics, the number of bookings for the May Day holiday this year has significantly exceeded the same period in 2019, an increase of more than 25 times compared with the same period in 2020; the average ticket price paid is 924 yuan, an increase of more than 20% over 2019.
Judging from the popularity of ticket bookings, Sichuan-Chongqing region has 4 routes in the top 10, among which the Beijing-Chengdu and Chengdu-Beijing routes ranked first and third respectively, the Shanghai-Chongqing route ranked sixth in the country, and the Chongqing-Shanghai route Ranked tenth in the country.
From the perspective of hotel bookings, Beijing, Changsha, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu, and Chongqing are all popular cities.
Among them, the average hotel price in Chengdu reached 398 yuan, an increase of 41 yuan over the same period in 2019, an increase of 11%.
