Burundi, September 3, 1987. A company of infantry supported by a few armored vehicles evacuated the Presidency of the Republic while military patrols circulated in the capital Bujumbura, isolated from the rest of the country.
President Jean-Baptiste Bagaza, traveling to Quebec for the Francophonie Summit, cannot return to Burundi.

48 hours after this military coup, which took place without bloodshed, the authors finally come out of their silence and present themselves to the country and to the international press.
