A picture that was widely circulated in Egypt on the media, and in the local media, sparked a wave of controversy, because it brings to mind the famous "Maadi Girl" incident, which prompted the security authorities to intervene to ascertain the circumstances and truth of the picture.

The photo, taken from a video clip, documents a woman who insists on being seriously assaulted in the street, when she tried to steal her bag, by three people on a motorcycle, in the middle of the street and in broad daylight.



The pioneers of the communication sites said that the incident occurred in one of the streets of the Awlad Saqr Center in Sharkia Governorate, where 3 young men riding a motorcycle kidnapped a woman's bag while she was walking in the street, and when she grabbed her bag, it was dragged into the middle of the street, causing her severe bruises and wounds.

The security services are examining the circulating photos to find out the truth of the accident and to identify the victim and the accused.

This photo recalls the famous incident, known in the media as "The Maadi Girl", who was killed after a similar incident, and later she was dragged and robbed on Street 87, intersection with Street 9, in the barracks. The suspects were identified, arrested, and sentenced to death.
