Abu Dhabi Investment Company offers 12 Musataha projects to develop community markets

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office, in partnership with the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi, announced the launch of 12 projects to develop community markets, to improve the current infrastructure and improve the quality of life of residents in various parts of the emirate.

The office said in a statement, yesterday, that the community markets will provide special facilities for shopping, retail, sports and various basic services, noting that so far three bids have been awarded to private investors to develop the community markets project, while the remaining bids will be completed during the period from July. 2021 to the end of 2022.

The office explained that the awarded bids aim to build community markets in Khalifa City, Shakhbout City, and Mohammed bin Zayed City, to provide special facilities for shopping, retail and basic services.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office and the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi called on interested investors and business owners to participate in the next phase of the program to develop the community markets project on Yas Island and Al Ain, by obtaining a qualification application.

The Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Dr. Tariq bin Hindi, said that "Musataha projects play an important role within the framework of the efforts made by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to benefit from the expertise of the private sector in the completion and delivery of infrastructure projects and major public services."

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abdullah Al Sahi, said: "We are working within our duties to activate the role of investment in public lands, with the aim of developing infrastructure and providing more direct and basic services to the residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in all fields."
