After four days of coma, she did not survive. A 7-year-old girl died Wednesday at the Lapeyronnie pediatric hospital in Montpellier, where she had been admitted after being fished out in the swimming pool of her campsite, reports L'Indépendant .

The tragedy occurred on Saturday, at the end of the afternoon in Narbonne-Plage. It was one of the lifeguards who had brought the little girl out of the water, who could not swim.

According to the regional daily, the gendarmes noted "no negligence" on the part of the establishment: the three employees responsible for monitoring the swimming pool were present at the time of the drowning.

The young vacationer was from Paris.
