The weather will be unstable and stormy on a large western half of the country Monday, but temperatures will remain very mild for the season, announces Météo-France Sunday.

In the morning, a disturbance will wave from the Pays de la Loire to Brittany, and from Normandy to Hauts-de-France, announces Météo-France. It will initially give scattered rain, which will become a little more marked over the hours.

From Aquitaine to the Poitou-Charentes region, and to the Center region, showers will start quickly. They will be temporarily stormy towards the Bay of Biscay.
By mid-day, instability will strengthen in the west of the country. Storms will burst from Aquitaine to Poitou-Charentes, Limousin and Pays de la Loire. These storms will be strong at times, giving accumulations of heavy rains, hail and strong gusts of wind. This zone of turbulent weather will then move eastward and will involve in the evening Languedoc-Roussillon, the west of the Midi-Pyrenees and Auvergne.

The peaks will reach 14 to 16 degrees on the tip of Brittany, 20 to 23 on the north-west quarter, 23 to 27 on the rest of the country

At the rear, a skyline will set in, alternating between thunderstorms and cloudy passages, carrying some showers, on the Atlantic coast in particular. On the eastern half, the sky will be fairly clear, or only veiled clouds of altitude, on the Grand Est, the Auvergne, the Rhône-Alpes region and Occitanie. Only downside: the grisaille will stay in Languedoc to the Cevennes. On the other hand, the sun will be generous all day long over Alsace, Lorraine and Franche-Comté. In Corsica and the Alps, some showers will be possible.

The broad southerly wind will be sustained on the south of the country, in the Rhone valley, in the domain of the autan, on the crests of the Pyrenees. The gusts will reach 70 to 90 km / h, or even 100 to 110 km / h along the Spanish border.
At dawn, temperatures will be in the range of 11 to 14 degrees in the northern half of the country, 15 to 18 in the south. The peaks will reach 14 to 16 degrees on the tip of Brittany, 20 to 23 on the north-west quarter, 23 to 27 on the rest of the country.
