The first arrived on Wednesday April 1 and were welcomed in Rennes, Saint-Brieuc and Brest. The following were transferred on April 5 and dispersed in several hospitals in Brittany. Relatively spared from the epidemic, the region has shown "solidarity" with overwhelmed Parisian hospitals, welcoming 83 patients seriously affected by Covid-19.
This Friday, 129 patients were in intensive care in the region, including 73 from the Paris region. The region's current capacity is evaluated at 164 beds in these services treating the most infected patients. A figure that could climb to 200 if necessary.
No other scheduled transfers
Should Brittany expect to receive other health transfers? "Our capacities are not saturated but we are not preparing new medical evacuations," said the director of ARS Brittany.
