Instant Messaging has recorded a surge in users over the past 24 hours, with 3 million new users. Taking advantage of the recent holidays of the social networking site "Facebook".

Facebook, as well as Intersgram and Wattsb, faced a severe disruption in service between Wednesday evening and Wednesday morning, with thousands of users complaining that they could not be deployed because of the lack of features.

Telegram founder Pavel Duroff said on his personal account at Telegram "3 million users in Telegram over the last 24 hours." According to the site "LES ECHOS" French.

Telegram's application had previously benefited from Facebook's failures, especially in 2014.

Durov did not directly link the increase in Telegram users to Facebook, but he said, "It is clear that Facebook's failures have an impact on the number of Telegram users."

Durof stressed that his application had the greatest share of the gains, thanks to his real privacy and the unlimited space he provides to all.

"We are on the right track," Durof wrote. "We have a real respect for privacy."

For its part, the Virg Tech website said three million new users are a big figure for the Telegram application, which has about 200 million active users.
