In northwestern Syria, more than 120 fighters have been killed in fierce clashes between the Damascus regime and jihadist groups. In recent weeks, the regions of Idleb and Hama have recorded the most violent fighting since an agreement reached in September 2018 between Russia, faithful ally of the Syrian regime and Turkey, sponsor of some rebel groups on the ground.
At least ten civilians were killed on Friday in raids by Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH). The offensive of the regime and its Russian ally took place in the north-west of the country , especially towards Idleb. Raids have intensified in recent weeks.
Since the end of April, the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian ally have intensified their strikes on Idleb province and surrounding areas, where the jihadist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), dominated by the ex-branch Syrian al-Qaida , as well as other rebel and jihadist factions are present.
