Firefighters in a Mexican city continue their search for a man who fell into a pit on the road before being swept away by the stream in sewage to remain missing for the moment.

A number of firefighters in Phoenix, Arizona, moved to Hermosillo, Mexico, to provide technical support, ABC reports.

Technical assistance was provided under a "twinning" agreement between the two cities, and the search took place on Friday morning.

Officials said efforts to search for the disappeared man have been stalled so far, given the existence of several sewage pipes.

The disappearance of the man for several days raised serious concerns about his safety, especially as he fell into the sewer, but authorities have not yet been able to confirm his fate.
