Roger Federer preparing his emblematic reverse to a hand: this is the image that will adorn a silver coin of 20 Swiss francs struck by the Federal Mint, announced Monday the Swiss organization.
"The Federal Mint Swissmint dedicates, for the first time in its history, a commemorative coin to a living figure: Roger Federer," the organization said in a statement.
"Whoever is undoubtedly the best individual sportsman in Switzerland is also a dream ambassador for his country", Swissmint justifies.
This coin, with a face value of 20 CHF (18 euros) will be on sale on the website of the organization from 2 to 19 December "if the stocks (55,000 pieces) are not exhausted by then", and put outstanding as of 23 January 2020.
"Thanks to Switzerland and Swissmint for this incredible privilege," commented the player in 20 Grand Slam titles on his Twitter account.
