Police have released a man from the trunk of a car who was allegedly kidnapped to rob him of Puente de Vallecas. Agents arrested the alleged perpetrator of the kidnapping, another 46-year-old man. The 40-year-old victim was beaten to deliver her credit cards and their pin and then locked in the trunk of the vehicle.

The events occurred around 2.30 last morning in Puente de Vallecas, as reported by the police union Jupol Madrid on Twitter. The agents were struck by a Nissan Micra that circulated doing strange maneuvers and they gave him the act. The driver of the vehicle ignored the police order, stepped on the accelerator and tried to escape from the agents through the streets of the industrial estates of Atayuela and El Pozo, in Puente de Vallecas.

The police managed to close the passage to the vehicle, although the driver fled on foot, being arrested after a chase. A large knife was intervened. Upon returning to the car, the officers heard noises in the trunk and found the victim of the kidnapping, with various bruises and in a state of great nervousness, but without major damage. He was assisted by Samur.

The kidnapped man told the police that he was going to take his Nissan Micra car in the garage at home when he was approached by an individual who threatened him with a knife and forced him to hand over the bank cards and the pin number. After hitting him, he forced him into the trunk of the vehicle with the intention, allegedly, of going to an ATM to withdraw money with the cards.

This type of express kidnapping, very common in Latin American countries, is not common in Spain.

"Medal performance," said the Jupol Madrid union on Twitter after reporting what happened.
