Andrew Weatherall was a prominent profile in the British acid house scene during the 1980s. He is also known for producing Primal Scream's acclaimed album "Screamadelica" from 1991.

His last self-produced album, "Qualia", he released in 2017 on the Swedish record company Höga Nord Rekords.

- Without him, the 90s would have sounded much more boring. He brought club music into the pop world and produced phenomenal records. But one should not forget his own music, curious and forward-looking right into his unexpected end, says Culture News Ika Johanneson.

Weatherall died in a hospital in London of a blood clot. He turned 56 years old.
