The metal research institute Swerim has a vision that the metal industry will be both fossil-free and circular. They conduct industrial research and development around metals and the path from raw material to finished product.

The goal is to reduce CO2 emissions from the metal-producing industry. Magnus Lundqvist works as a project manager and believes that the interest in this is great in the world - and that they will start using the plant sharply in four weeks.

Positive from an environmental perspective

- We will be able to help our customers in the Swedish industry develop new and sustainable processes for producing metal. From an environmental perspective, this is very positive. In Sweden, we have electricity with very low CO2 footprint and replacing fossil fuels with electric power is a big benefit for the environment, says Magnus Lundqvist.
