The center explained that the significant expansion of the UAE's export markets abroad supports the UAE's position as a reliable global trading center and a major transit gateway for trade between East and West. The report emphasized that this policy aims to enhance the ability of the national economy to benefit from opportunities for economic recovery for the next phase, through prior planning, focusing on markets through which national exports can be accessed, and developing trade relations and partnerships with them.

The report indicated that the ministry's policy relies on several axes, including opening direct channels of communication with government agencies related to trade and investment in the countries of concern, and activating and proposing the formation of joint committees.

Non-oil national exports

The total national non-oil exports, including "exports and re-exports", amounted to 618 billion dirhams in 2020.

And exports recorded more than 254.6 billion dirhams, achieving a growth of 23.4 billion dirhams, while the total value of re-exports of non-oil goods reached 363.4 billion dirhams.
