Many people gathered from around 6 am on the sidewalk in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, where you can look down on the railroad tracks of the Nishikyushu Shinkansen at a glance.

And when the first train that left JR Nagasaki Station passed in front of me, the people who gathered were taking videos and waving their hands.

An elementary school girl who was filming a video with her smartphone said, "The Shinkansen is long and quiet, and I can only say 'wow'."

A woman who lives nearby said, "I'm glad I woke up early. I'm happy that it opened, but I wonder when it will be connected to Tokyo."
