At the press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Shanghai held on May 20, Zhu Xinjun, chief engineer of the Shanghai Greening and Urban Appearance Bureau, introduced the question of when the park can be opened. The urgent desire of the city is considered to be divided into three stages, strengthening landscaping maintenance and landscape construction, and promoting the classification and orderly opening of urban parks.
The first stage is to carry out the cleaning and disinfecting of the park environment in an all-round way by May 21, carry out the investigation of potential safety hazards, greening and landscape restoration in key areas; and promote the orderly return of landscaping and maintenance personnel.
The second stage is from May 22 to May 31, and urban parks in the suburbs will gradually open in an orderly manner while meeting the requirements of territorial epidemic prevention.
The third stage is that after June 1, urban parks in the central city will be gradually opened in an orderly manner while meeting the requirements of territorial epidemic prevention.
Zhu Xinjun emphasized that after the park is reopened, indoor venues such as operations and services in the park, as well as recreational facilities, will not be open for the time being.
At the same time, the relevant epidemic prevention measures and requirements will be strictly implemented, and dynamic adjustments will be made according to the situation. Citizens in the park are also invited to support and cooperate.
