He is a person who forgets his age and burns his passion for acting on the stage. Donghwan Jeong, who returned to the play 'Brothers of the Karamazov', joins us.

Q. One week from the start of the play... Do you have a lot of spectators?

[Jung Dong-hwan/Actor: We now have Part 1 and Part 2 on weekdays, and since it's 6 hours, it takes 3 hours, so we divide Part 1 and Part 2, but on weekends we do Part 1 and 2. So I was surprised to see the auditorium once on Saturday and it was full. Tears welled up. It was a moment that really brought tears to my eyes, and I really cried. Everyone is sitting there wearing masks like this. I was moved to see a full audience.]

Q. The performance is about 6 hours long?

[Jung Dong-hwan/Actor: Part 1 and Part 2 are split in half on weekdays, and Part 1 and Part 2 are connected together on Saturdays and Sundays. So, it's 3 hours each, but actually, a play is different from a movie, so it's not clear how and how many minutes it will end. So it was very difficult to make this.]

Q. Performing all day on weekends… Where does energy come from?

[Jung Dong-hwan/Actor: I just think that I have to work hard because the audience loves me. What other powers do you have?]

Q. Reselection of 'Brothers of the Karamazov'... The reason is?

[Jung Dong-hwan/Actor: I have always thought that a play like this should be uploaded, and I thought it was necessary in this era, so I liked doing it again. When that happens, the problem is that you can't get over it. So I was worried about that. But our director, Professor Na Jin-hwan, will try to make a new one. So, how can people who have seen it so far make the same lines of the same work so differently? Ah, I have now discovered that the theater of this era can survive because of this. I am fortunate and thankful.]

Q. 'Brothers of the Karamazov'... what kind of work

[Jung Dong-hwan / Actor: The story is obvious. It's the original drama. Sons and children and parents quarreled and killed, and who killed them? Now, how do you express the same story in a new way? We paid attention to this this time.]

Q. 5 roles per person… Isn't it difficult to digest?

[Jung Dong-hwan / Actor: They are confusing, but they are very precious characters. They're completely different characters. So, the Dosdoevsky commentator. Also, if you go inside, the elder Joshima is the saint, and the high priest, the person in some organization with such a demonic nature, and the other person called a scavenger are like a clown, and it is also a demonic character, and at the end of the great trial, the final argument is made. I work as a lawyer. It's a new addition now, something that wasn't there last time. A new 20-minute monologue goes in.]

Q. A 20-minute monologue scene…

How?

[Jung Dong-hwan / Actor: Well.

I don't know either.

Some people say that when I wrote in the past, God wrote it, but I also think that maybe God did it, and I always have the thought that if I leave the stage today, I will have to quit forever.

It still is now.

But now, thankfully, fortunately, I'm doing well.]

Q. Keep up the theater stage...

What does play mean?

[Jung Dong-hwan/Actor: I think that theater is like a mirror that we always look at.

But I think that the mirror does not just look at our outward appearance, but looks inside us, into our lives, into our lives, and even looks into the abyss.

I like mythology, so in mythology, it's Athena's shield.

The only thing we can see the truth is Athena's shield.

it's aegis

In English, what we call aegisda is a play.]

Q. Do you have any hopes for the future?

[Jung Dong-hwan/Actor: No, I think I should keep doing this.

I think you should be able to do this.

Actually, even if people my age come and see what I am doing, I have the confidence that I can do that too.

I wish I could have a sense of challenge like that.

So, how do young people speak for themselves for 20 minutes each?

Everyone can do this, so I hope it will be a place where we can empathize with each other.]
