The Fujita Memorial Garden in Hirosaki City is a large-scale Japanese garden built in the Taisho era with an area of ​​over 20,000 square meters overlooking Mt. Iwaki.



In this garden, every year at this time of year, in preparation for the arrival of full-scale winter, we perform a work called "Yukitsuri" to prevent the branches of the trees planted in the garden from breaking under the weight of the snow.

On the 26th, eight workers gathered, and 32 ropes were hung radially from the top of a 12-meter-high pillar standing near a red pine tree and tied to each tree branch. bottom.



"Yukitsuri" will be held until this weekend, with a total of more than 40 trees, including three types of trees such as pine and yew planted in the garden.



The garden will open in winter from the 24th of next month, and you can see the trees and gardens that have finished "Yukitsuri" for free.
