After competitions in an enthusiastic atmosphere, the Fazza Championship for Shooting by Saktoun culminated in the winners of the centers in the women and junior categories, the day before yesterday, at the conclusion of the tournament organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage, at the Shooting Square in Al Ruwaiya in Dubai.
Fatima Hilal Al-Kaabi won the women's category title, after achieving the highest score (79 points), followed by Fakher Abdullah Al-Deri with a score of 78, and Aisha Saif Al-Derai’s third place with a score of 76. Amna Hassan bin Shahdour succeeded in winning the junior title with 76 points. While Nafla Saeed Al Ahbabi came in second place (70 points), and Fatima Khaled Al Minhali came in third place with the same points, but with a difference of attempts.

For her part, Fatima Al Kaabi, who works at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, said, "For me, shooting is a passion that I practice in all its forms, and I have participated in the Fazza Championships for Saktoun Shooting since 2012, and with my first participation I succeeded in learning the skills of silent shooting quickly."
She added, "I have previously achieved first place in the open category that witnesses participation from various nationalities. I also participate in the tournaments organized in Abu Dhabi using different types of weapons, given my attachment to this sport and my great ambition to develop my shooting skills."
Fatima added, "I am the only individual in the family who practices archery, and I learned it on my own, and I always try to master it as required, whether from a personal point of view or to achieve first places in championships."
And she continued: “I extend my gratitude and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, a supporter of heritage sports, thanks to which we witness the establishment of the Sakatoun Shooting Championship annually, with special support for Emirati women and girls.”

For her part, Aisha Saif Al-Derai confirmed that the atmosphere of the tournament was wonderful in all its details, noting that she is participating for the fourth year, and has already achieved third place in 2019.
She added, "I entered archery as a hobby, and I try to train as much as possible in this field, as I come from Al-Ain to participate in the Saktoun Championship, which has a special atmosphere in terms of enthusiasm and challenge," noting that she receives support from her brothers who helped her develop her level in this sport. Heritage.

Hanadi Khalifa Al Kabouri expressed her appreciation for the efforts of those in charge of these heritage tournaments, which motivate girls to participate, and said about her story with archery: “I learned this sport five years ago thanks to the support of my father, and I try to follow the approach that he taught me, in addition to the equestrian hobby as well. And in general, I always try to balance my work with these hobbies for heritage sports. ”She added:“ Saktun shooting always has a special place, as it is a heritage rifle, and I always try to acquire the skills associated with it, in addition to refining my personal skills, including patience, focus and clarity of mind, and perhaps the availability of fields. In the various regions of the country, it is an incentive for young people to learn this type of archery », noting that she has previously participated with the Emirates Police team in tournaments outside the country, which is something that makes her always look forward to improving her level.

The CEO of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage, Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament, Brigadier “M” Muhammad Obaid Al Muhairi, in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Khalifa Obaid Al Suwaidi, crowned the championship winners in the women and junior categories.
Al-Muhairi announced that the committee decided to honor and allocate financial prizes to the winners of the first 20 places in the women's competitions, in the framework of seeking to stimulate participation and the cultivation and dissemination of this heritage sport, by creating a larger base of practices for them, adding that «the size of participation and levels in this edition of the tournament, they came They are promising, and the distinguished figures that have been achieved reflected them. ”
He pointed out that the committee provided trainers for those wishing to learn the skills of silhouette shooting, whether for beginners or those who wish to develop their levels following their participation in the previous editions.
