Al-Hai told "Emirates Today" that the total number of destinations served by airlines through the airport has crossed the 140-point barrier, stressing the readiness of "Dubai International" to provide the best and safest services for travelers, and to receive scheduled flights, in addition to transit flights to other destinations.

He added that the number of regular flights has witnessed a continuous increase at the airport, with the implementation of air travel protocols that facilitate the travel of UAE citizens, residents and tourists, while preserving the health and safety of visitors and communities, stressing that the airport has taken all operational measures that ensure the smooth movement of passengers, in parallel with Ensure their safety and health.

The «Emirates Airlines» expected that the number of passengers departing through «Terminal 3» at Dubai International Airport, to more than 200 thousand passengers during the Christmas period, explaining that according to its bookings, passenger traffic will reach its peak between 11 and 21 December. The data of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority showed that the total number of passengers, through Dubai International Airport, last November, reached one million and 585 thousand and 461 passengers, compared to 1.46 million passengers in the previous October, with a growth rate of more than 8%.

According to the authority's data, the total number of passengers during the period between January and November 2020 reached more than 24 million, while the total volume of air freight through the airport during the same extended period reached about 1.65 million tons.

In addition, data issued by the two companies, "Emirates Airlines" and "Fly Dubai", showed a continuous increase in the number of passenger destinations within the network of the two carriers around the world.

According to the data, the total number of destinations within the network of the two companies now stands at 150, including 100 for Emirates Airlines and 50 for flydubai.
