Ning Jizhe, director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that in 2020, the national per capita disposable income of residents was 32,189 yuan, a nominal increase of 4.7% over the previous year, and a real increase of 2.1% after deducting price factors.

The national per capita disposable income for the whole year was 32,189 yuan, a nominal increase of 4.7% over the previous year, and a real increase of 2.1% after deducting price factors, basically in line with economic growth.
The national median per capita disposable income of residents was 27,540 yuan, a nominal increase of 3.8% over the previous year.
Grouped according to the quintuple income of national residents, the per capita disposable income of the low-income group is 7,869 yuan, the per capita disposable income of the lower-middle income group is 16,443 yuan, the per capita disposable income of the middle-income group is 26249 yuan, and the per capita disposable income of the upper-middle income group is RMB 26,249. 41172 yuan, the per capita disposable income of the high-income group is 80294 yuan.
[Explanation] Ning Jizhe said that in 2020, the income growth of residents was better than expected. From the first to the fourth quarter, the national per capita disposable income improved quarter by quarter, and the annual growth rate was basically synchronized with the economic growth rate.

The national per capita net income from transfers increased by 8.7% throughout the year, of which per capita pension and retirement pensions increased by 7.8%, social relief and subsidy income increased by 18.7%, and policy living allowance income increased by 12.7%.
In the whole year, the national per capita wage income of residents increased by 4.3% over the previous year, and the average monthly income of migrant workers increased by 2.8%.
[Explanation] In 2020, facing the huge impact of the epidemic and the complex and severe domestic and foreign environment, China's national economy will recover quarter by quarter after the decline in the first quarter.
When talking about how to evaluate the performance of economic operations in 2020, Ning Jizhe said that the GDP has exceeded 100 trillion yuan, and China's economic strength, scientific and technological strength, and comprehensive national strength have jumped to a new level.

The GDP has exceeded 100 trillion yuan, the per capita GDP has exceeded 10,000 US dollars, the economic structure has continued to be optimized, major engineering projects have been basically completed, and my country's economic strength, scientific and technological strength, and comprehensive national strength have leapt to a new level.
People’s living standards have improved significantly, and more than 60 million new urban jobs have been created in five years. The world’s largest social security system has been established, with basic medical insurance covering more than 1.3 billion people and basic old-age insurance covering nearly 1 billion people.
[Explanation] In addition, Ning Jizhe also stated that China is still the world's largest developing country, and its per capita GDP is still slightly lower than the world average, which is still far behind the major developed countries.
The basic national conditions of China in the primary stage of socialism have not changed. To achieve the long-term goals of economic and social development and to build China into a socialist modern country, hard work and unremitting efforts are required.
