French Oklahoma City Thunder playmaker Théo Maledon has been selected for the NBA Rising Stars, the game that pits the best young American players against those from the rest of the world, although this meeting will not be played this year due to the Covid -19.

Drafted in 34th position by the Philadelphia Sixers, then sent to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the former Villeurbannais impresses for his debut in the NBA at 19.

Taking advantage of George Hill's injury, he established himself as a starter in the OKC Five and has 7.7 points, 3.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game on average since the start of the season.

Selected in the "Team World", he is accompanied by other great hopes of the NBA, including his Quebec teammate Luguentz Dort and the Japanese Washington Wizards Rui Hachimura, against the "Team USA" led by Zion Williamson (New Orleans Pelicans ), Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies) and LaMelo Ball (Charlotte Hornets).
