In Hutubi County, Xinjiang, at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, more than 2,000 acres of wine grapes are still "hibernating."

People who grow grapes carry out field management in a timely manner according to temperature changes.

At a construction site of an ecological wine culture tourism pastoral project, workers are speeding up the pace of construction.

Grape planting, wine brewing, sightseeing and vacation... The entire local wine industry chain has emerged.

At present, Xinjiang’s wine grapes are planted in an area of nearly 500,000 mu, accounting for about one-third of China. Four major production areas have been formed at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, the Yili River Valley, the Yanqi Basin and the Turpan-Hami Basin.

The reporter combed and found that there are over 300 varieties of local wines on the market, with prices ranging from tens of yuan (RMB, the same below) to thousands of yuan.

But in fact, Xinjiang wine, which started late, is not well-known as a whole, and its coverage in China's major supermarkets is also low.

In recent years, Xinjiang has adjusted its wine industry structure and promoted industrial innovation.

In Hutubi County in the northern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains, Xinjiang Tianyuan Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and the leading wine company have "strongly joined forces". Through the "small-producing area + enterprise + farmer" model, various aspects such as field management and variety update Improve the quality of wine grapes.

Today, the company's 2000 acres of wine grapes have obtained organic certification, and the high-quality garden area has reached more than 1,000 acres.

Wine production is "seven points planting and three points brewing".

Local leading wine companies also guarantee their brewing technology by establishing wine grape technology research centers and introducing advanced foreign brewing equipment.

Data show that the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains has become China's largest raw wine supply base, with a wine production capacity of nearly 350,000 tons.

According to the plan, the local area will continue to build three or four certified small production areas, with "small production areas leveraging large industries", and radiation to drive the development of 350,000 mu of wine grape planting base.

At the same time, a number of national-level small industrial parks in Xinjiang are gradually taking shape, bringing the grape industry into a state of sustainable development.

In 2020, the grape industry in Yanqi County, located in central Xinjiang, will have a total industrial output value of 350 million yuan.

The development of the wine industry has also led to the development of culture and tourism.

Yanqi County launched "tourism + green industry", "tourism + sightseeing agriculture", etc., to improve the wine industry chain while also driving the development of rural tourism.

Jiang Yanjun, chief engineer of a winery in Yanqi County, said: “The winery has registered a cultural tourism company and a tourism reception center of 7,000 square meters is about to be completed. By then, the “wine +” compound business of tourism, leisure sports, health and wellness will be active. Promote the diversified development of the wine industry."

Tang Chao, person in charge of the Hutubi County Eco-wine Cultural Tourism Pastoral Project, said that the project has invested a total of 250 million yuan, built a national-level wine grape planting base, wine cellars, farms, etc., and established 7 professional grape cooperatives.

"According to the small winery and large-scale industry, the traceability of the entire industrial chain of wine planting, processing and sales, as well as the integrated development of the first, second and third production of wine will be realized, and finally the ecological wine production area at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains will be built into a large-scale "wine theme park" Complex project."
