China News Service, Chengdu, April 8 (Reporter Liu Zhongjun) Aviation Industry XAC Civil Aircraft Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "AVIC XAC Civil Aircraft") revealed on April 8 that the company's independently developed HH-100 The aviation commercial unmanned transport system demonstrator has successfully completed the high-speed autonomous taxiing wheel-raising test at Beichuan Yongchang Airport in Sichuan. The aircraft is in stable condition and has good autonomous taxiing control performance.

It is understood that the HH-100 aviation commercial unmanned transport system demonstrator carried out high-speed taxiing tests, which were divided into three categories: straight-line taxiing test, normal braking test and nose wheel lifting test, with 19 test points and a total of 9 taxiing tests. The test results fully verified the design performance of the aircraft.

The HH-100 aviation commercial unmanned transport system is a new member of XAC’s civil aircraft product lineage and a key project for industry incubation. In December 2023, the HH-100 aviation commercial unmanned transport system completed the final assembly and integration of the entire aircraft and entered the ground test stage. At the end of February 2024, the aircraft transferred to Yongchang Airport in Beichuan, Sichuan to complete preparations for the taxi test. In early March, the test team was fully stationed at Beichuan Yongchang Airport and began to conduct taxiing-related tests. It has successively overcome difficulties in low-speed, medium-speed and high-speed manual taxiing subjects, autonomous taxiing data collection and control law parameter adjustment, and successfully completed the scheduled high-speed taxiing test subjects.

The HH-100 aviation commercial unmanned transportation system consists of an unmanned aerial vehicle platform and a command and control system (ground station). It has the characteristics of low cost, large tonnage, high payload, and national production. Adopting the development model of "host + supplier + strategic partner", the airframe structure, system finished products, etc. are provided by internal units of the aviation industry and private enterprises.

The HH-100 aviation commercial unmanned transport system has a maximum take-off weight of 2,000 kg, a payload capacity of 700 kg, a full-load range of 520 kilometers, a maximum cruising speed of 300 kilometers per hour, and a maximum operating altitude of 5,000 meters. The main application scenarios include feeder logistics and forests. Grassland fire extinguishing, fire monitoring, rescue material transportation and delivery, relay communications and artificial rainfall enhancement, etc.

In recent years, the aviation industry has seized the strategic opportunities of industrial reform and promoted the development of low-altitude economy through drone research and development. XAC Civil Aircraft of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China actively implements the strategic requirements of the country and the aviation industry and accelerates the deployment of the UAV industry.
