  According to the railway department, on April 7, the Yangtze River Delta Railway will still usher in the peak return passenger flow. It is expected to carry 3.18 million passengers that day, with 56 additional passenger trains and 172 EMU reconnections.

  During the Qingming Festival transportation period, the Yangtze River Delta Railway is mainly occupied by passengers such as tourism, family visits, business, and tomb sweeping. The Beijing-Shanghai, Shanghai-Nanjing, Shanghai-Hangzhou, Ningxia-Hangzhou, Hefu, Yongwen, Ning'an, Hangzhou-Huangzhou and other railway lines have higher passenger flow than usual. There has been a significant growth, and the popular cities are mainly Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Wuxi, Changzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jinhua, Yiwu, Huangshan, Wuhu, Fuyang, Xuzhou, etc.

  In order to transport large passenger flows, the Yangtze River Delta Railway Department took measures such as adding additional passenger trains, reconnecting EMU trains, expanding train formations, and launching peak lines to facilitate passenger travel. A total of 733 additional passenger trains were opened during the three days of the holiday.

  It is reported that during the Qingming Festival holiday, Shanghai Hongqiao, Hangzhou East, Nanjing South, Hefei South and other railway stations continued to provide "road-rail" connection transportation, strengthened communication and coordination with local transportation departments, and arranged for subway, bus, etc. to extend operating hours and increase traffic density.
