  • Transport Renfe's 3D weapon to fight against train delays

A new surreal situation was experienced on a

Renfe

train this past March 28 when several dozen passengers had to abandon their train in

Sahgún (León

) because the driver had "finished his day as a train driver." This is what one of the passengers told in X, who accompanied his protest with videos and images of what happened.

Everything happened on a Renfe train that was due to arrive at the León station at 9:30 p.m. last Wednesday, March 28. Everything seemed to be going normally but at the Sahagún stop, which is within the marked route, chaos began.

"After 20 minutes stopped, the conductor announces that it will not start," says the passenger, who adds that "the excuse that (Renfe) gives us" is that

"León does not allow trains

. "

Furthermore, he explains that the solution they offer is for several buses to finish the journey by road.

But the excuse was nothing more than a lie since, as the passenger himself relates, Renfe revealed the truth about the incident. "After about 1 hour stopped without knowing the reason, we discovered that the incident is none other than that the driver has finished his work day," shares the passenger in in minutes," he adds.

Apparently, according to Renfe, the train driver had had a previous service in which due to an incident he had to

work 88 minutes longer

. And given the legal impossibility of the driver driving for longer, they were forced to stop the train.

In the end, all the passengers had to continue on the road an hour later. "The first bus arrives around 10:00 p.m. and 40 people rush on without the rest of us knowing anything, the situation is even comical and the arrival time is postponed to 10:45 p.m.," says the passenger, who adds that the driver himself will also travel by bus with them to León.

The other two buses arrive later and

"after 120 minutes inside the car"

, the rest of the passengers are transferred to León, where they arrive "two and a half hours after the scheduled time." For the passenger, "the case is one more in the chaos of Renfe in this type of journeys. Excuses, jokes and above all lack of professionalism." "Enough of laughing at people," his story ends in protest.
