According to last month's worldwide sales figures announced by Japan's eight major automakers, Toyota Motor Corporation's sales totaled 719,630 units, a decrease of 6.9% compared to the same month last year.



Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd., a subsidiary that supplies cars, continues to suspend production due to a fraud issue in obtaining certification, and Toyota has also suspended production of some vehicle models due to a fraud issue at Toyota Industries, a group company. etc. are the main factors.



This is the first time in 13 months that Toyota's global sales have fallen below the previous year.



Daihatsu Motor Corporation's global sales were 52,068 units, down 46.2% from the previous year.



On the other hand, in terms of domestic sales, Toyota's sales decreased by 33.3%, and Daihatsu's sales decreased by 82%.



In terms of worldwide sales of other companies, Mitsubishi Motors increased by 12.7%, Suzuki by 11.5%, Nissan by 8.4%, Honda by 5.5%, and Subaru by 3.8%, compared to the same month of the previous year. However, Mazda's sales decreased by 0.8%.
